04The project
Macroplan is working with a major landowner in the Geelong region to establish a planning pathway and development strategy for their Waurn Ponds property. It has prepared detailed economic and market analyses of the potential for several uses, including residential, commercial, industrial, retail, tourism and recreation.
The work focuses on an economic justification for a coordinated planning outcome: a mix of uses capable of unlocking new investment, employment and affordable housing in the Geelong region.
Macroplan’s team is overseeing the preparation of a master plan for the site, with input from traffic and civil engineers, architects, urban designers, heritage and biodiversity specialists and planners.
Macroplan is working closely with the City of Greater Geelong, the Department of Transport & Planning and Invest Victoria as part of its ongoing engagement.
